Google Community Space in SF
An event held in September for girls in the inner city Oakland and San Francisco Area to give girls their first exposure to Computer Science and educate them on the field. Over 70 girls were in attendance and the event consisted of a series of engaging events including Keynote Speaker Neha Palmer (Head of Energy Conservation at Google), a panel of women engineers from major corporations in the tech industry (Google, LinkedIn, Youtube), and computer science activities which taught the basics of fundamental concepts like binary numbers, for-loops, and coding in Python, full breakfast, raffle giveaway, and swag bags for every attendee!
